San Bernardino auction calendar: dates, batches, and source status

How to follow the official auction schedule and distinguish batch closing times from archived sale inventory.

Read the announcement before the parcel table

San Bernardino’s official auction platform separates announcements, auction navigation, and prior sale results. At our September 8, 2026 review, its announcement said the next tax sale had not yet been scheduled. That is a dated observation about the announcement, not a prediction that no sale will occur. Open the platform again for the latest position before planning a deposit or a trip. An old result page can remain useful for research while offering no evidence at all about the next auction’s inventory.

Track the item’s batch, not just the event window

The platform’s FAQ explains that properties are grouped into batches with their own close times. It also describes an extension when a new leading bidder emerges near the end. For research, keep the event name, item identifier, batch, and displayed close time together. Our recommended calendar entry contains the source link and a reminder to review the actual bid page. A multi-day event heading is too broad to tell you when a particular item closes, and a scheduled close is not always its eventual final bidding time.

Keep registration, deposit, and payment separate

The FAQ distinguishes creating an account, submitting a deposit before bidding, and paying for purchases after a sale. Treat those as separate checks in your preparation. Read the event’s current terms for the precise amounts, accepted payment methods, and deadlines instead of copying them from this guide or a past event. Ask your financial institution about any processing step you do not understand. The useful output is a dated checklist with evidence that each requirement is satisfied, rather than a single reminder labeled auction day.

Identify a historical page before using its numbers

The May 2025 result page still displays a phrase about properties available for sale beneath its historical event heading. Read the heading and dates before interpreting that phrase: it describes the event being viewed, not present-day county inventory. Our editorial rule is to retain the historical date beside every count copied from that page. When comparing events, also record whether a number refers to advertised items, cancellations, eligible items, or reported sales. Those measures answer different questions and should never share an unlabeled denominator.

Use a repeatable status check

On each review, note the page URL, check time, event identifier, and exact status shown for the parcel. Save a short note when the source is unavailable rather than assuming that an empty screen means an empty sale. Recheck the official item page before any bidding decision, particularly if your saved research predates a withdrawal or a changed schedule. If the announcement and an old event page appear inconsistent, follow the current official navigation and contact the auction administrator for website questions. Preserve unresolved discrepancies instead of silently choosing the larger count.
